KWorld DVBT-100 PCI TunerI bought this card a couple years ago and, frankly, it is crap. It crashes the computer constantly and even when it doesn't the drivers are crap and buggy as hell. I have emailed KWorld asking if they have better, updated drivers but they have not even replied. I often get the following BSOD: I cannot use the card unless I put it on a separate, dedicated computer which I do not mind crashing and even then it is a PITA. Looking around the Internet I find similar bad experiences with KWorld products. It was a waste of money and I do not recommend anybody buy KWorld products. If you already have this card here is some information you might find useful. I do not use the remote control because I just would just want to have the TV window in a corner of my computer screen while I am doing other things on the computer. I do not need to use the remote control at all but the remote control receiver program *has* to be running or the main program will crash. It took me a while to figure this one out. Other programs work differently. If I am watching a video on Youtube, or listening to music on Media Player, and I lower the volume on the program it reduces the volume only of the sound that program gives to Windows while all other Windows sounds and programs continue to be independent and functional. But if I want to mute the DVBT program it mutes *everything* because it controls the main Windows audio control panel. So suppose you are watching TV mut want to mute it for a moment to watch a youtube video or a video clip which was emailed to you. You have to entirely shut down the DVBT program, watch your clip and then restart the DBVT program with all the resizing of windows which the program will not remember and which has to be done each time. A veritable PITA. You can easily resize the main TV window to any size or aspect ratio (AR) you want but you have to do this by guessing because the program will not detect the correct AR nor will it allow you to specify it. You just have to change it manually until the picture looks right to the eye. The device is supposed to do more things, like admit composite and S-video, but I have not really bothered to try out all the functions because the most basic ones work so badly. In other words, cheap, badly-written software which I do not recommend.
